Complementary angles are two angles that add up to 90 degrees.
Usually you are given one angle and are asked to find the complementary angle.
For example: Find the complementary angle of 33 degrees.
- We need to subtract, 90 - 33 = 57
- 57 is the complementary angle to 33
Supplementary angles are two angles that add up to 180 degrees.
For example: Find the supplementary angle of 33 degrees.
- We need to subtract, 180 - 33 = 147
147 is the supplementary angle to 33.
