Pre Algebra: Factorials

A Factorial, usually seen written as n! is the product of all the integers that are less than n.

For example 6! = 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720

It is very important to know that when dividing factorials you can reduce the common multiples.

For example 8! / 6! would be:

(8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1) / (6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1) and can be reduced to 8 x 7 = 56
